Feeling like a princess when you don't feel well





Whether you have a cold or a chronic illness, sometimes it's hard to feel like a princess when you just don't feel like dressing up. Here are seven tips on feeling beautiful when you don't feel well!



1. Take care of yourself 

Sometimes it's the littlest things that mean the most. Something as simple as brushing your hair or taking a shower can make you feel a million times better!


2. Skip the sweatpants and wear some cute pajamas

An elegant nightgown or some adorable pajamas can be super comfy and still make you feel cute. 


3. Keep your mind occupied

Obviously lying in bed being bored isn't going to help you feel better. Something uncomplicated like reading a book or coloring will help you relax and keep you busy. 
Here are some other ideas:

  • Playing videogames
  • Writing stories or poetry
  • Listening to music
  • Playing with a childhood toy 
  • Painting your nails
  • Embroidery ( depending on how sick you are, if you feel up to it it can be very relaxing ) 
  • Blogging
  • Braid your hair

4. Drink tea

This is a great way to feel better and it always helps me feel more like a princess or a Lolita. 


5. Pamper yourself 

A hot bubble bath, great smelling lotions and face masks are very relaxing and are bound to lighten your mood. 


6. Treat yourself to some treats

It depends on if your stomach can handle them or not of course, but a cupcake or some chocolates can always brighten your day.
